Is the Altair 115 ED,APO optical tube assembly which is just over two years old and is in mint condition overall free! from any surface scratches,marks or blemishes anywhere whatsoever and most importantly spotlessly clean optics which has been stored in a clean and smoke free

environment.the optical tube assembly commonly known as (OTA!) for short comes in at f7 and a overall focal length of 805mm and a very respectable weight of only 6.2kg considering it’s a relatively large aperture! Refractor telescope which inherites a Triplet optical design objective lens.

The objective lens consists of modern and exotic Japanese Ohara ED lanthanum glass elements know as FPL-51 glass which offers superior colour correction and is a very capable multi-purpose imaging and visual disciplines of amateur Astronomy.

A temperature compensated lens-Cell plus a crayford style rack and pinion type 2.5” focuser comes as standard with 2” to 1.25” reducer adapter which allows you to use all standard 2” and 1.25” Astronomical accessories.the focuser also is fully rotatable to a 360 degrees with a micrometer scale etched or scribed on the draw tube.I have now included in this sale a brand new and in (RED) losmandy dovetail bar and also have kept the original Vixen/skywatcher dovetail so the new potential owner can have the best of both worlds depending on there mount compatibility.
