We are working with a Medium sized forwarder who are for an Air Import Coordinator
Main duties:
- Communication with customers is paramount and keeping them updated along the way - via email and phone - Execute the shipment at the agreed cost and report any deviation - Communicate with origin office to set up shipment and monitor them - Provide quote, if required - Customs clearance (to be done following clearance instruction and ensure the direct rep. letter is held on file) - Bill VAT/DUTY if our deferment a/c was used - Add all costs to the files - Update milestones as per department requirements - Billing, on time and accurately - PODs - ensure that all files have PODs before closing a file - Invoice queries - Cross training as required by the department
Person specification (inc. technical/professional requirements)
- Min 2-3 years' experience within an air import department - To be able to work alone and also as a part of the team and demonstrate initiative - Proactive - Ability to work under pressure - Flexible - Able to ask for help, be open and seek collaboration and assistance if unsure how to handle situation/problem.
The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm or 4 on 4 off days.
Salary depending on experience
