We are working with a Medium sized forwarder who are for an Air Import Coordinator
Main duties:
– Communication with customers is paramount and keeping them updated along the way – via email and phone – Execute the shipment at the agreed cost and report any deviation – Communicate with origin office to set up shipment and monitor them – Provide quote, if required – Customs clearance (to be done following clearance instruction and ensure the direct rep. letter is held on file) – Bill VAT/DUTY if our deferment a/c was used – Add all costs to the files – Update milestones as per department requirements – Billing, on time and accurately – PODs – ensure that all files have PODs before closing a file – Invoice queries – Cross training as required by the department
Person specification (inc. technical/professional requirements)
– Min 2–3 years' experience within an air import department – To be able to work alone and also as a part of the team and demonstrate initiative – Proactive – Ability to work under pressure – Flexible – Able to ask for help, be open and seek collaboration and assistance if unsure how to handle situation/problem.
The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm or 4 on 4 off days.
Salary depending on experience
