Client/Role: Ministry of Justice – Admin OfficerBased in York City Centre, York County Court or York Magistrates CourtHours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week (9:00–17:00)Salary: GBP11.88 per hour Overview of role:You will provide administrative support. You will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:Effective Communications
General administrative supportMonitoring mailboxInputting new casesInteractions with Judges, court users, defendants and police officersOverseeing administrative procedures and processesTelephone and face to face interactionsCourt clerking both in Court and virtually and assisting the Judiciary and other stakeholders. Good communication skills, both oral and writtenTeam working SkillsCan work under pressureUse your own initiative as well as working part of a teamAbility to develop and maintain good working relationshipsStrong Admin skillsStrong IT skills– using bespoke systemsStrong customer service Training will be provided and it is an in depth programme. Due to this, the client likes to keep candidates for as long as possible
