Hours: 08:00–16:30
Pay: GBP11–GBP12ph
Our client is seeking a dedicated and organised Unit Administrator to join their team. As a Unit Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Care home Manager and PA with various administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Oversee unit stock control and ordering.Manage, audit, and record Resident's Personal funds and petty cash in accordance with company policies and procedures. Effective Communication:
Maintain professional and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure the confidentiality and security of all company information, with a focus on Resident's Information, Resident's Finance Files, and Payroll information. Administrative Duties:
Handle phone calls and inquiries.Sort and process incoming mail.Assist and engage with relatives and visitors.Arrange meetings and take minutes when required.Maintain resident birthday list and organise birthday celebrations.Coordinate transportation for hospital appointments.Liaise with various departments regarding hospital admissions and discharges.Collect and circulate audit information as needed.Manage resident monies.Update TV slides on units.Perform daily fridge temperature checks.Archive resident's information.Provide ad hoc reception cover.Create resident bedroom door posters.Assist with menus and food ordering.Print and display the monthly rota.Ensure updates to PEEPS and Care Plans are documented.Update DoLS information on the Dependency Calculator. Education / Qualifications / Training:
Essential: Excellent English, both written and oral (Level 2).
Desirable: Higher level English qualification, Level 3 English Qualification.
Previous Experience:
Essential: Previous administrative experience.
Desirable: Receptionist experience, Customer Service experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential: Excellent organizational skills, clear and accurate telephone manner, proficiency in Windows Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) to Intermediate level, excellent communication skills (written and oral), ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, discretion in handling confidential matters, ability to work independently.
Desirable: Proficiency in Windows Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) to Advanced level, database experience.
Personal Qualities:
Essential: Good team player, well–presented, ability to handle unexpected challenges.
