About the role:

Work with the Active Travel team to develop and design innovative Active Travel schemes across Powys.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Highways design engineer with a passion for Active travel and demonstrable experience in designing Active Travel schemes

About you:

Knowledge of Active Travel and Highways design standards

Use of AutoCAD/GIS skills.

Experience of designing Active Travel routes

Ideally you will be a qualified and/or experienced highways engineer

Ability to communicate and liaise with communities and stakeholders to develop innovative active travel schemes

What you will do:

Design Active Travel schemes in conjunction with the Active Travel team and the community engagement technician

Produce suitable CAD drawings of potential schemes for consultation and construction (inc BOQ and tender docs)

Liaise with communities and stakeholders throughout design process

Support/mentor community engagement technician
