I had this installed in one of my guitars very briefly.

I sold the guitar separately and the pickup was only used once or twice.

It sounds fab through a PA system.

The Headway HE4/G.FEQ is Headway's high end complete active under-saddle pickup system for steel string guitar with instrument-specific fixed EQ. Each Headway system utilises interactive "Baxandall" designs for a more natural and musical response than graphic EQ. In other words, the sound profile is tailored to the instrument. The flexible coaxial piezo cable pickup is able to detect frequencies in all directions, not just up and down, for a fuller, more natural acoustic sound.

The HE4 pickup requires professional installation and Headway would be happy to recommend a luthier near to you. Once it is installed, you can plug in and get the best sound currently on the market for your instrument. Potentially destructive plugging-in noise is reduced by the "slow power-on" circuit. All Headway pickups are made with tight tolerance audio components to maximize product life. HE4 pickups are individually tested and assigned a serial number for guarantee purposes.

The endpin jack preamp is built using Class A all-discrete circuitry with two FET phases, and has fixed equalization that is specifically tuned for steel string guitars, requiring little or no EQ adjustments at the mixer board. The preamp is built into a standard 1/4" endpin jack that includes a strap button. Operates on a single 9 volt battery (not included) that is mounted inside the guitar with the included leather-and-nylon battery holder. All connections are pre-soldered.
