SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with such a brilliant, forward thinking business who are looking to add an Accounts Payable Team Leader to their team for an initial 18 month contract period. As the Accounts Payable Team Leader you will oversee a fantastic team and will report directly to the Payables & Credit Manager. This position requires previous experience of overseeing a team, and strong understanding of P2P practices/procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Day to day oversight of the P2P team s workload, inbox management, rota, holiday cover, holiday requests, team meetings and 1:1 s.

• Guiding new starters throughout the on-boarding process including P2P system tasks.

• Acting as a Business Partner to key Stakeholders on any issues around payments/processing.

• Reviewing the provision of work produced by the team including systems & paperwork.

• Continuous review of new and existing processes to ensure we are acting in the most efficient and controlled manner.

• Keeping yourself and the P2P team updated on business changes.

• Ensure all reporting and processing are up to date.

• Ensure timely processing for payments to be completed within deadlines.

• Provide support to cashflow reporting for Group Treasury function.

• Responding to general queries & providing guidance on payments, credit cards, policies and procedures via the central mailboxes and by telephone.

• Managing your teams holiday approvals, conducting 121's, appraisals and reviews, training, and other ad hoc support duties

Knowledge, skills and abilities (Essential/Desirable) -

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Highly motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.

• Ability to organise, prioritise and manage tasks accurately to meet demanding deadlines.

• A proactive approach to identifying problems and formulating solutions.

• Ability to understand systems and apply relevant knowledge.
