Position: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000

Location: Aylesbury

Proactive are currently working with a client who are a world leader manufacturing company in their field.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

You will be responsible for:

Working alongside the production manager to:

Management of invoice queries with regular internal meetings to ensure outstanding query volume is minimized for month end deadlines.Management of supplier payments and monthly payment proposals.Banking/petty cash/reconciliation of multi-currency cashbooks.Management of all import documentation and payment to freight forwarders within terms; ensuring VAT and duty records are correct and paid to HMRC.Supervision of 1 team member to ensure all raw financial information is processed promptly to ensure a smooth month end routine.Control over freight file processing and under/over recovered freight allocation.Month end accounts responsibility including GRNI, GINR and GRNC.Company expenses payment and policy updates.Ensuring secure transactions of payments in advance/pro-formas/Advances/Adhoc Payments.Responsibility for Finance mailbox.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Experience of working in a fast-paced purchase ledger environmentAbility to engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure query resolutionStrong excel and ERP system skillsAt least 2+ years' experience in an Accounts Payable roleHMRC import (C79 & PVA) knowledge and experienceHands-on approach to purchase ledger with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
