Accounts Executive – GBP28,000 – GBP30,000 – Full Time
REED Accountancy and Finance in Norwich are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Executive to join a growing business in West Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day–to–day financial operations of the company, including credit note approval, supplier payment runs, tax payments, purchase ledger management, journal postings, invoice management, and bank account and credit card reconciliations.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Approve credit notes up to a defined approval limit in accordance with company policies and procedures.Prepare supplier payment runs on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.Ensure timely and accurate payment of PAYE, VAT, and Corporation Tax payments, ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations.Manage the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.Post accruals and prepayments journals in accordance with company policies and proceduresCheck and approve ad–hoc invoices, ensuring that they are correctly coded and authorized before processing for payment.Produce month–end invoices and ensure that they are accurately recorded and reconciled in the accounting system.Reconcile the company's bank accounts and credit card statements, investigating any discrepancies and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required. The ideal candidate will have:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable but not essential.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, tax regulations, and financial reporting standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem–solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results–oriented approach.Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
