I am working with a great accountancy practice based in Teesside who are looking to expand their team due to continued growth.
My client is looking for a practice experienced Accounts Assistant, duties will include:
- Assist in the preparation of clients VAT records
- Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting software
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Assist with the process of clients becoming VAT registered
- Any ad hoc tasks as instructed by the Partners or other members of the team
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
