MacKenzie King are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to help support farming and horticulture business based on the outskirts of Woodbridge who are breaking new ground with their farming methods. This office-based role will support the Group Finance Controller as well as the wider business and its customers. The Accounts Assistant should be able to effectively prioritise tasks and take ownership of delivering deadlines that impact the wider business. The successful Accounts Assistant candidate will be someone who thrives under pressure and who enjoys a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for customers, both trade and domestic. As the business's Account Assistant the successful candidate will take ownership of the ledgers and be a key point of contact for customer queries. Key Responsibilities
Purchase ledger duties to include: coding and posting of purchase invoices, payments, account maintenance and statement reconciliationsSales ledger duties to include: raising invoices, account opening and maintenance, customer receipts, credit control and reviewing credit limitsAnswering customer and supplier telephone and email enquiriesExpense claimsAny other ad hoc administrative duties as required by the business With a view to expand into the following in time:
Entering bank payments, receipts and performing bank reconciliationsMaintaining intercompany reconciliations and rechargesReviewing and carrying out VAT returns (monthly and quarterly) Key Skills:
Experience of working in a similar role within a multi-company environmentA good understanding of Sage 50 accounting systemGood working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and WordGood communication skillsAbility to interpret numbers and financial informationDisplay a high level of attention of detail Main Working Relationships:
