Description

Our client is a well-established, successful, and forward-thinking company that deals with Commercial / Residential Property Lettings company who have been established for many years and deals with Residential, Commercial, and Student Lettings over several offices in Kent.

Due to business needs, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their business.

Role: Accounts Assistant

Hours: 9 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday ( 1 hour lunch)

Location: Gravesend Town Centre ( five-minute walk from bus and train station)

Salary: GBP25,000

Benefits: 25 days hol + bank holidays, Health Care after 1st year of service, Cash Plan, Learning & Development programme from day one, social events etc .,

Overview of the Role:

Acting as an account assistant and being responsible for the daily accounting tasks on behalf of clients. Completing daily banking and receipting of tenant funds, issuing statements and payments to clients, processing weekly payment runs for various accounts, and liaising with clients and suppliers to answer queries.

Summary of Duties:

Daily banking and receipting of tenant funds to the property management system.

Issuing client statements monthly

Payments to clients and suppliers on a regular weekly payment run

Managing the central accounting mailbox and keeping this up-to-date

Making lease changes to tenants on computer software

Liaising with suppliers and clients to answer queries where possible

Dealing with telephone calls and queries

General filing and correspondence

Providing cover for team members (as required)

Suitable Candidate:

Previous accounts experience is required

High level of concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail

Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach

Able to prioritize and multi-task.

Excellent people and communication skills at all levels

Must be able to work well under pressure

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word & Excel

Good customer service skills

Preference will be given to candidates with previous accounts experience within property

Experience using Tramps accounting system is desirable, however, Yardi experience is comparable
