An Accounting Technician / Bookkeeper opportunity within a specialist SME Accounting Practice offering exposure to all aspects of general practice work and career progression.

The firm advises Sole Trader and Limited Company clients ranging up to c.£1m t/o across a wide range of industry sectors, providing Year-End Accounts, Tax Compliance & Planning, Bookkeeping / VAT, Payroll and Management Accounts solutions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to continued growth in clients, an Accounting Technician / Bookkeeper opportunity has arisen within the practice offering involvement in all aspects of accounting and business services work and long term career development.

As an Accounting Technician your role will involve:

Supporting a Client Manager with the management of a large portfolio of small business clients

Preparing Year-End Accounts and Tax Computations for Sole Traders and Limited Companies

Bookkeeping and VAT Returns for Limited Company clients

Assisting with weekly and monthly client payrolls

Extensive use of Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting systems

THE PERSON

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

Good experience in manual & software based bookkeeping

Background within Accountancy Practice (2 years minimum)

Experience of Accounts Preparation, VAT and Bookkeeping

Knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks or other packages eg Xero & sage, Moneysoft payroll manager.
