Over the past three years, Madano’s Healthcare Practice has grown significantly to become one of the UK’s largest focused healthcare communications offerings. To support our continued growth, we’re looking for an Account Director or experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team. This person should have at least five years’ experience in a consultancy setting.
Account Directors are integral to leading teams to deliver exceptional work for our clients, across a variety of therapy areas and projects. We are looking for an engaging and inspiring Account Director with expertise in all things healthcare communications – media, medical, advocacy, digital – as well as someone invested in team development and business growth.
Requirements:
Strong analytical skills and an ability to simplify complex science into compelling and creative communications programmes
Effective management of teams to deliver comprehensive communications strategies, including (but not limited to) content creation, event management, social media activation and media engagement
Understanding of local and international regulations relating to the healthcare industry to ensure projects are compliant
An in-depth understanding of the healthcare communications landscape and an interest in the latest news/events
Day-to-day account lead for multiple clients, demonstrating an innate knowledge of clients’ businesses
Ability to provide ongoing strategic counsel, build trust and develop enduring relationships with key client contacts
Ensure that high quality work is consistently delivered across accounts, that is not only polished, but also meets each clients’ objectives and is strategically sound
Provide support with the execution of the Healthcare Business Plan, and Client Growth Plans (where appropriate)
Proactive identification of opportunities for organic growth within each client’s portfolio, and development of proposals
Commercially astute, with the ability to develop, manage, adhere to and reconcile budgets to ensure profitability
Ability to manage team workloads and contribute to the development of team members through ongoing mentoring and knowledge sharing
Direct line management, including conducting performance reviews, professional development and promotion processes within the practice
An engaging presenter to internal and external audiences, with excellent meeting facilitation skills.
