2016 Heritage C Type by Realm

2500 Miles, Rebuilt 4.2, High quality build

A quality example of a Realm Engineering Heritage C Type, looking absolutely wonderful in period British racing green with dark green interior. Realm are particularly well respected in classic Jaguar circles for their high quality chassis design and authentic replicas. The donor vehicle for this particular car was a 1977 Daimler XJ 4.2 litre. The car was built up using the suspension, rear independent suspension setup (very similar to that used on the E-Type Jaguars), rear axle and engine from the Daimler fitted to the Realm chassis and fibreglass bodyshell. The 4.2 straight six engine was fully rebuilt and mated to an all-synchro 4 speed gearbox with overdrive and was also fitted with triple SU carburettors. The car benefits from several other upgrades to improve reliability and drivability, including an electric cooling fan, new alternator, electronic ignition, 16 inch wire wheels with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres, vented front brake discs with four pot callipers and four point seat belts for safety. The car has been registered with DVLA as a 2016 Heritage C Type. The history file includes photographs documenting the construction, along with invoices for the components used. The car starts with ease, runs and drives particularly well, feeling tight and precise on the road. The throttle response is instant and with such a light weight body the car is plenty fast enough. The brake pedal is firm and provides very good stopping power. The gearbox is a delight to use and the overdrive works as it should. The suspension has been set up well with road use in mind and is not harsh at all. In fact the car is very comfortable and easy to drive. Overall a very well built example with great attention to detail that not only looks the part but performs particularly well and is sure to put a smile on your face.
