Due to an international move I've unwillingly decided to sell my 2015 Mustang, I've owned this car since 2016 and around 28k miles, it was my daily driver in the US (Texas) until 2021 when I imported it to the UK after relocating. Car has been well looked after and in general hasn't needed much work - I have all historical paperwork and maintenance receipts.
Here's some key points about the car:
- Left Hand Drive & Automatic
- Two previous owners (myself and the person before)
- Imported from the US in 2021 by me - importation and modification done by SMC
- Ecoboost Premium trim package (US Spec)
- MOT until October 2024 - no advisories
- Bodywork in excellent condition, car was also fully undersealed when imported to protect underside from UK weather/roads
- Received paint correction and ceramic pro coating in the US in 2021 before exporting (probably due a refresh now)
- Mechanically, no issues for the life of the car I've owned it, mainly oil changes and brakes
- Had some insurance based bodywork done to the rear right quarterpanel in 2018 in the US (~3k cosmetic damage, this would show up on CarFax in the US if you needed to check it)
- I had the rear bumper resprayed and refinished in 2019
- Excellent underside condition / little to no corrosion
- No modifications whatsoever other than those to comply with UK roads & IVA test: Rear Fog Light fitted, Headlight Adjustment and Rear Lights modification to amber instead of red indicators.
- 4 new tyres fitted in October 2023
US Specific Features:
- Front daytime running lights which aren't on the EU cars pre 2018
- US style wing mirrors (note, some cosmetic scratches on exterior leading edge of mirrors)
- Remote Start from keyfob - literal lifesaver in the winter
- NO DAB digital radio - has satellite radio which is not available in the UK
Additional information on Tax and Insurance, Road Tax in 2023 was £325 and my insurance was ~£450/500 for the year but your mileage may vary, just giving some indication to help.
Known Issues:
- Rear left TPM sensor is flakey and more often than not fails to report tyre pressure, this will need replaced at some point
- Driver side seat passenger pull latch is broken - non issue as you can use the seat back latch but I wanted to note it
- Brake light bar has some LED's out, not MOT fail but worth noting likely due to usage/age
- Is due another oil change in the next few months
- Alloys, although in general decent condition, will need some restoration work as the clear coat/lacquer is starting to peel off in places - common issue on the mustang wheels.
Final Comments, car is exceptionally fun to own and drive, I've loved every second of ownership and I'm sure the new owner will too. But please be aware you're buying a US import, this should come without saying but not all garages will maintain and repair, I will provide my contact in Scotland who maintains mustangs up here but it's worth mentioning this as many shops and particularly Ford themselves tend to shy away from it entirely.
Price reflects known issues, mileage and the specialist nature of the car.
