The AUTOBIOGRAPHY SPORT stands tall and dwarfs other road users - a very imposing vehicle, which oozes luxury and style, whilst also being highly capable. This model comes with Landrovers superb terrain response system, hill descent control and low range gearing. This makes the Range Rover Sport hugely capable on any terrain. Power comes courtesy of the 3.0 litre, 251bhp SDV6 turbo-diesel powerplant which also features in many Jaguar models via an 8 speed automatic gearbox which is slick and very responsive. You sit high with a commanding view of the road from your elevated position, looking down on the world. 2-tone leather seats are generously proportioned and superbly comfortable. Both front and rear seats have electric heating and the front seats have electric memory adjustment to ensure you have the perfect driving position. Stepping up into the interior of the Range Rover is like stepping into a different world filled with the highest quality leather complete with contrasting white stitching. In keeping with the RangeRovers image as the ultimate luxury SUV there is barely a whisper from the V6 Turbo-diesel engine as the revs rise and virtually no noise intrusion to the double-glazed cabin. This car really does seem to isolate you from the outside world in your own leather clad cocoon.

Autobiography signifies the peak luxury trim for the RangeRover Sport with enhanced opulence and luxury. Among the luxury goodies are satellite navigation and bluetooth telephone preparation for both the phone and media. The car has a Harman Kardon Hi-Fi which gives among the best quality sounds of any stereo I have ever heard and has been fitted with side steps which look fantastic and aid access to the car. There is a dual-view TV meaning the passenger can watch TV on the go while the driver is able to view the full-screen navigation (see our acompanying video for a demonstration). There are front and rear distance sensors which give you an acoustic aid during tight maneuvers, while the car also has a rear parking camera - A must have on a car with these dimensions. Meanwhile the car sits on purposeful 20" alloy wheels which, despite having some minor kerb marks, still manage to look great. To the rear there is a fully electric tailgate which reveal a huge load area complete with hard wearing rubber load liner. The Autobiography car has keyless door locking and engine starting using either of its 2 transponder keys.

The attention to detail in this car is astounding with a leather-clad dashboard, that is uncluttered, yet laden with hi-tec luxuries to make life behind the wheel as stress free as possible. Autobiography-sport in emblazoned on the cars high-gloss door trims and the perforated leather seats have a 2-tone finish that looks as good as they are comfortable. The floor matts are thick woolen items which have a deep pile for that feeling of ultimate luxury. This is a car which has instant feel-good factor and a car that will get you noticed.

Whilst there is no getting away from the fact this is a big car at over 2 metres in width and the best part of 5 metres in length, it is actually a fairly easy car to drive. When you park, the door mirrors retract electrically to ensure they don't get hit by passing traffic. Our Range Rover has a total of 8 distance sensors on the front and rear bumpers which assist you with an audible beep when you negotiate tight spaces and it has a fantastic reverse parking camera. The adjustable air suspension allows you to kneel the car in access mode allowing easy access to its cabin - it can also be raised to allow additional ground clearance when needed and of course there is Landrovers amazing "Terrain response" system should you want to adventure off-road.
