This F10-generation BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo is a handsomely specified example of the refined ‘super saloon’, with super low mileage for its age. Under the bonnet sits a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8, producing just over 500bhp and driving the rear wheels via an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with shift buttons behind the steering wheel. This Alpina B5 Biturbo is understood to be number 21 of 320 examples produced and reportedly one of only 21 to be supplied to the UK. The odometer shows just over 49,800 miles, which is supported by a comprehensive service history, and has had a fresh service and new spark plugs fitted (NOVEMBER 2023) at BMW. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES Based on the BMW 550i, the F10-generation Alpina B5 Biturbo featured a number of desirable performance upgrades, including larger turbochargers, a custom engine block, a bespoke Alpina cooling package incorporating radiator, engine oil cooler, air ducting and intercooler, as well as reinforced cylinder heads, NGK spark plugs, high strength Mahle pistons, and a unique Alpina ECU. The model also featured revised suspension, a custom Alpina crossbar, uprated front brakes, an Alpina ‘Type 860’ front spoiler and rear diffuser, and a ‘Type 858’ rear boot lip spoiler. This Alpina B5 Biturbo is finished in the handsome combination of Alpina Blue Metallic, over an Oyster Dakota leather interior, punctuated by Piano Black trim. It rides on a set of 20-inch Alpina multi-spoke alloy wheels with concealed valve stems, housing blue brake callipers, and shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, four-zone automatic climate control, an integrated infotainment system with satellite navigation, cruise control, an electric sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats with two-position memory, an Alpina badged multifunction leather-trimmed steering wheel with green stitching and Alpina branded seats, carpet mats, trim and signature numbered production plaque. This Alpina is supplied with its owner’s handbook, stamped service book, a collection of invoices and old MOTs, boot-mounted tools, first aid kit, warning triangle and tyre compressor. The most recent MOT test was on 13 March 2023 at 48,780 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. SERVICE HISTORY :- This B5 Biturbo will have a fresh service including renewal of the spark plugs at Grassicks BMW on 30 October 2023, so it will be fully ready for the next owner. Prior to this, the last service was in November 2022 at 48,645 miles by Grassicks BMW. This included a brake fluid service and a vehicle inspection. The car was serviced in October 2021 at 46,266 miles by John Clark BMW. This included fresh engine oil and the fitment of a new oil filter, fresh coolant, a new air filter, a screen wash refill and the fitment of a new water pump and tyre. The following maintenance was carried out in November 2020 at 43,770 miles by BMR performance at the cost of £4052.60:- The turbochargers were rebuilt, a new turbocharger oil line was fitted, four injectors were replaced and a new offside front window regulator was fitted. In August 2020 the car was seen by Refined Detail who carried out a full paint correction and ceramic coating process, refurbished all four wheels, repainted the brake callipers and carried out a full vehicle detail.
