2002 Lotus Esprit V8 - Incredible Nut & Bolt Restoration - Best Esprit ever builtIn a fiercely competitive auction we were delighted to be the winners of this unique 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo, described by many as the world’s best, not only as a car but with the story and ownership attributed to it. Many Lotus fans will be aware of Dany Bahar’s controversial spell as CEO of the Norfolk company. Included in this was his desire to produce for himself the ultimate Lotus Esprit that matched his ambitions of the quality that he was hoping to bring to the Lotus brand and what Lotus Cars should stand [Website URL removed] rumoured that upwards of £100,000 was poured into what was already a decent example Esprit. This car is outstanding in all areas and cannot be faulted. Engine, Chassis, Bodywork, Interior were all replaced and/or upgraded and if not seen with your own eyes we strongly recommend a visit to our showroom where this car can be seen, and the huge paperwork and photograph files of the works can be enjoyed. Google is a great starting point as many articles can be read of Dany Bahars White Lotus Esprit. It has been looked after and cherished by its two private owners since Bahar, with over £32,000 in invoices from the current registered keeper alone. It further benefits from a full-service history, stamped in the original service book, most recently receiving an A-Service in August 2023 from Stratton Motor Company as well as new timing belts/tensioners and new rear suspension, amongst other work. It also received a fresh MOT prior to our purchase..

About Us:
Our promise: “We ensure you’ll find your ideal classic car.”
Just moments from the M25, or a 23-minute train ride from London Liverpool Street and the City, our Fairmont Sports & Classics showroom team in Brentwood is committed to changing the way classic vehicles are bought and sold.
Classic models across the decades
Our stocklist – with new vehicles arriving daily – spans popular and iconic vehicles from the 60s through to the late 90s and beyond.
Over two floors we present a curated selection of more than 50 sports and classic cars – plus several motorcycles – all fully inspected, checked and ready to drive away, delivered, or shipped overseas.
We buy well so you’re not at risk
The buying team comprises seasoned motor industry professionals: our backgrounds span retail sales, fleet management, auction, wholesale, and service, inspection and maintenance. Having grown up with, driven and loved countless classics ourselves, we know what our customers look for: models and marques piquing current market interest; examples that are in excellent usable condition and order; and vehicles that represent a sound, good value investment.
An online portal search for any classic model will list several hundred vehicles across the UK. The unfortunate truth is that the vast majority, under scrutiny, will prove sub-standard, misrepresented or require uneconomic restoration or repair. Finding a good vehicle without motor trade experience is not for the faint-hearted.
We purchase our cars from private owners, collections and specialist auction houses. We are exceptionally selective about which vehicles we buy, when and why; we reject over 90% of all those we see. Those we purchase match varying customer demands: ‘best in market’ and fully original; fully or partially restored examples; and sound, practical, fun classics to be driven and enjoyed.
Whether you’re an investor, an enthusiast, or simply keen to recapture your youth, we’d love to help you find your ideal classic.
Warranty:
We want every customer to be confident in their purchase. Whilst we sell nationwide, many of our sales are local, with some customers revisiting to buy, sell or service more vehicles.
To ensure a worry-free motoring experience, we include our own pre-owned vehicle warranty and provide full servicing and support on-site.
The price of every car includes a six-month warranty for major component failure: engine, transmission, and final drive. For the first three months, it covers the cost of any essential parts and labour. Thereafter we provide a 50% discount on any essential parts and labour for the remaining three.
We also operate our own on-site workshop offering specialist classic vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. The same mechanics that inspected and prepared your vehicle for sale will be delighted to keep it in good working order throughout your ownership.
