Our Rural Cosy Cottage, 15 mins by car from the World Heritage City of Bath is perfect for a peaceful rest or to work from home during the winter months.
The Cottage is a cosy, comfortable and convenient place to stay in beautiful surrounding countryside with the numerous attractions this area has to offer.
The property has a double bedroom with a large wardrobe. There is an additional bedroom with 2 single beds, one bed can be put away on request to give more room.The kitchen is fully equipped with an adjacent vaulted dining area. The vaulted sitting room with Gothic style window has a wood-burner for cosy nights in.
Full kitchen/dining room, vaulted sitting room with Gothic window and woodburner. There is a private patio area with table and chairs immediately outside the front door and sitting room. Our two acre field and woodland is across the lane and the sunset can be seen from the cottage windows. There are bluebells and wild garlic growing in the spring with an abundance of cowslips and other wild flowers.
There is private off road parking at the entrance to the field directly opposite the cottage. Access to the cottage is via a separate side gate marked Hunters Barn. We live in the main house next to the cottage but as we have completely separate entrances and parking, our guests can enjoy total privacy but we are available if you need anything or local information.
A car is necessary with Bath only 5 miles away and Marshfield our local village is 3 miles to the north. There are 2 pubs in Marshfield, a tea room, grocery store, post office and vintage/gift shop. There are walks from the Cottage and numerous walks a short distance away. Box, Corsham, the canal and river at Bathampton are a short car ride away.
Utility contributions for Heating and Electricity only with Free Fibre Wi Fi available, non smokers.
The Cottage is available from early February.
