Description

Do you have experience within an IT Service Desk Team and knowledge of Cyber Security and technical support processes? Are you eager to develop your IT Support career within a highly successful and expanding IT company?

Our client is looking to recruit a self-motivated, switched on 1st Line Support Technician to join their dynamic and friendly team in Crawley.

This role would be an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in an IT Technical Helpdesk role to learn new skills and progress their professional career further.

Responsibilities as a 1st Line Support Technician

Reporting to the IT & Service Desk Manager you will provide 1st & 2nd line technical assistance being part of the day to day operation of the service desk team providing the best level of client support, regular system updates & adopt best working practicesBe conversant with service desk process & best practice to deliver a consistently high level & accountable client experienceHave knowledge of managed IT hardware & software solutions with regards to installation, troubleshooting & support being able to assist and escalate to software vendors as necessary ensuring any fault or issue is resolved in timely fashionUnderstand Microsoft Office 365 & hosted platforms being able to provision and support the sameProvide a sound general understanding of the IT / Cyber Security product stack able to deliver technical Pre-Sales client engagement plus 1st line support with vendor liaisonAttend any relevant Microsoft technical training courses keeping product & process knowledge regularly updatedVisit client sites if needed in a pre-sales or support capacityUndertake other duties appropriate to the post as directed by line managementTo support in any ad hoc project as requested and deemed necessary to support the business

Experience / Skills

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grace C or above (or equivalent)Cyber Security Qualification(s)Experience working in a similar role, or within an IT service desk teamExperience in Cyber SecurityKnowledge of technical support processesProficiency in Microsoft (Stack, Word, Excel, Publisher)Full UK Driving Licence
