This is high quality upright piano made in 1999 in the Czech Republic. It is very similar indeed to the Petrof / Rieger-Kloss and Bohemia pianos also made in Czech Republic and the quality of craftsmanship equally excellent. Fully checked, tuned and regulated, this is a stunning looking and sounding piano - great for beginners up to professional pianists. Due to the advanced design features (e.g. the agrafes for each note, usually found only on grand pianos) and high quality construction, Czech pianos are often very highly regarded for their tonal quality and rightly so. In comparison to the ever popular (and also excellent) Yamaha uprights such as the U1, we think this piano has superior tone and offers unbelievable value for money. It has been played only lightly since new so this is a chance to own a top quality piano in great condition for a great price - this piano would be around £10,000 new.

Tone and tuning

Lovely rich and sparkling tone, and a big dynamic range. Excellent full bass and the treble is wonderfully clear and bell like without any harshness. Tuned to concert pitch prior to sale.

Keyboard and action

The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the Detoa action has been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard - a fast and responsive action to suit advanced level playing as well as beginners.

Hammers and strings

Very little wear at all in the hammers - it has not been played heavily but was regularly tuned by the previous owner. Strings in very good condition also.

Sound board

Excellent as new condition.

Case

A very attractive mahogany case with high gloss polyester lacquer, in excellent condition throughout - an amazing looking piece of furniture as well as a top quality instrument. Some very slight fading in one or two spots but hardly worth mentioning.
