This custom 1997 Volkswagen Kombi microbus was designed and
restored by the team of craftsmen at A&J Revival in Brazil.
Almost every part of this bus has been restored or rebuilt,
including the completely rebuilt powertrain. It is powered by a
factory-original 1500cc 4-cylinder engine producing 65hp, mated to
a 4-speed manual transmission. An aluminum crank pulley was
installed, along with an adjustable tensioner and alternator
pulleys. A new carburetor and new distributor, ignition coil, spark
plugs and cables were also installed. The suspension, steering and
braking systems have been rebuilt with new original Volkswagen
parts. The electrical system of this Volkswagen was completely
redone, from the wires and cables to the alternator, and was
converted into a 12-watt system with alternator, voltage regulator
and battery. It is equipped with a rebuilt 4-speed manual
transmission and a new shift lever. This Volkswagen sits on
original painted steel wheels with original VW chrome hubcaps. The
entire frame and bodywork were rotisserie-restored before the
vehicle received a new two-tone original Volkswagen paint job in
Lotus White and Diamond Blue. This vehicle also has a new VW logo
and front grille, original side mirrors, headlight grilles and
windshield wiper arms. It has been upgraded with a large canvas
retractable panoramic sunroof. The custom interior features a beige
and white color scheme, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The seats are original and were restored with the replacement of
foam and springs and later covered in synthetic leather with
standard VW stitching. This Volkswagen has a capacity for nine
passengers. It is equipped with luggage racks at the rear and
front, with retractable steel and wood ladder attached, offering
additional storage and a retro vintage style to the vehicle. The
restoration, along with mechanical and electrical modifications and
bodywork, was completed by the professionals from the A&J
Revival team. ** PREVIEW
