An incredibly special SL500 Mille Miglia with just 29k miles and 2 owners from new.
The Mille Miglia was a special edition of the SL500, built to commemorate Stirling Moss winning the 1955 Mille Miglia road race. It featured silver paintwork, Evo II six-spoke alloy wheels and a unique interior with perforated red leather seat centres, red stitching and carbon fibre trim replacing the usual woodwork. We understand that 50 right-hand drive cars were produced.
This example was sold new in 1996 by Jacksons of Jersey and is thought to be the only one supplied new to the Channel Islands. Jacksons sold the car again in 1999 to its second owner, who kept the car 24 years until we acquired it this year.
Always garaged and used sparingly, this SL500 has led a pampered life, clocking up just 29,073 miles from new, backed up by a full-service history.
The leather wallet contains all its books, both remote keys are present, still on the Jacksons key ring.
This car remains in utterly immaculate, entirely original condition throughout. The body is without blemish, the wheels perfect and wearing matching Continental tyres. The underside is completely free from any corrosion (road salt is not used in Jersey) and the interior is exceptional, still retaining its original stereo and car phone.
Currently being mainland registered with all taxes paid. New MoT with no advisories.
If you are looking for the finest, lowest mileage Mille Miglia available, this must be the car.
