First registered 1957 this Austin Healey 100/6 BN4 is finished in Healey Ice Blue with Old English White contrasting side panels, arguably the most iconic “Big Healey” colour scheme. Equipped with Overdrive and Silver painted Wire Wheels plus twin side exit exhausts. This is a good-looking car with superb panel fit. It is complete with Hood, Side Screens and Tonneau. The odometer is showing under 10,000 miles and together with the MoT History we believe, but cannot warrant, that this represents the mileage since its restoration. The 100/6 was produced in two models the 2+2 BN4 and the 2-Seat BN6 The cars used a tuned version of the six-cylinder BMC C Series engine; in 1957 this was uprated to produce 117 bhp by fitting a revised manifold and cylinder head. A 117 bhp BN6 was tested by The Motor magazine in 1959 had a top speed of 103.9 mph and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 10.7 seconds. The test car cost £1307 Based on the other various documents that are with the car we understand that the car was restored in the mid-eighties by a gentleman who was the Chairman of the Aston Martin Owners Club, who had the work executed to a very high standard, which included an engine re-build. Additionally, there is correspondence between subsequent owners and a body of invoices for parts and accessories in recent ownership. We regard this as a very genuine example of the marque which has clearly been looked after, presented in period correct colour scheme and in our opinion competitively priced in today’s market
