Just arrived with us at RFH Classics we have this 1980 (V) MG Midget 1500 Anniversary Edition finished in Gloss Black with contrasting Black trim. The Anniversary Edition was produced by MG to celebrate the end of the very successful Midget and was limited to just 500 cars, this car is number 44 of those 500. All the Midget Anniversary cars were only produced in Gloss Black and are now very desirable to own. When the previous owner purchased the car, he and his father set about the task of carrying out an extensive restoration to the whole car and it is good to see the original seats are fitted with the Black trim correct to an Anniversary model. Whilst not new the roof is original spec and is in very good condition with a clear rear window.

Like all the later rubber bumper Midgets the Anniversary model was fitted with a 1500cc petrol engine paired to a 4 speed manual gearbox and during the restoration of this car it was fitted with a new clutch and slave cylinder. The engine fires into life at the turn of the key and we are advised it has been converted to lead free. To complete the look of the car the original Rostyle road wheels have been refurbished and had the addition of new tyres. The brakes were overhauled with new wheel cylinders, shoes and pads during the restoration so the car is now ready for a new owner to enjoy and treasure.
