A superb example of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 350SL which has covered just 48,244 miles from new, remains completely original. A time-warp example of the famous R107. Benefitting from a recent full service and significant recent investment totalling over £10,000. The car is ULEZ compliant and also Tax free. Presented in beautiful Thistle Green paintwork with Tan interior, both of which are in superb condition. The paintwork is particularly sharp as is the brightwork. The original wheels are in great shape and are wrapped in recent Michelin tyres all round. The original Cypress Green factory hard top is also present and is in perfect condition, having just been restored. The chassis number confirms the car is an original UK right hand drive 350SL, and like most R107s it's fitted with the automatic gearbox that perfectly suits the car's nature as a luxurious open tourer. The last service was a major service including all oils, coolants, spark plugs and engine tune. This was carried out in May 2023 by renowned marque specialists Roger Edwards who also inspected the car for the previous owner before he purchased it. At the same time over £10,000 was spent on mechanical and paintwork to bring the car up to the standard we see today. This work included isolated body and paint repairs, repairs to sill ends, refurbishment of the cruise control unit, restoration of the hard top, wax oil treatment and many smaller issues repaired. The car has since been ceramic coated and presents beautifully. Last year the car went to specialists Centre of Gravity for full geometry setup and the fitting of 4 new Michelin tyres. There's effortless performance from the 3.5-litre V8 engine, which starts and runs as it should. Few cars from the era can match its blend of understated elegance and sheer usability. Supplied with a huge folder of history with every MOT as well as the original manuals and other literature, service book, two sets of keys and the factory hard top.
