This 1977 AMC Hornet has had a serious horsepower transplant in the
form of a Performance Built AMC Matador Police Car 401 Engine with
an Edelbrock Performer Intake Carb combined with a 4 Speed
Transmission. It also has Long Tube Headers and 2.5 Exhaust Piping
to some Shorty Mufflers. It is a fast, fun ride. All of the paint
is shiny from 3 feet away with exception of the hood, which is a
replacement item from a donor car. No dents or body damage of any
kind. There is a box of new door and hatch seal material being sold
with the car that is not yet installed. Speedometer has been
removed and replaced with engine gauges. I use a GPS Based Smart
Phone Speedometer when driving car. The gauges including the large
Racing tachometer work well. Shock absorbers have been replaced and
are bright blue. Tires are probably 6 years old, but do have good
tread left.
