1974 MG B Roadster with overdrive. We recently purchased this car after it had been stood in a garage for years after undergoing an extensive amount of work. Under inspection we found the bodywork to be in good condition (some chips here and there but to be expected from a car nearly 50 years old) and the underneath to be in very good condition and structurally sound. As the vehicle hadn't been run in years we stripped and rebuilt the brakes (they were as new but we replaced both rear wheel cylinders as one was weeping) and fitted new tyres all round. A new exhaust and battery were fitted while we were dropping all fluids in the vehicle and the water pump, radiator & hoses, thermostat & housing, fan belt, spark plugs and the oil & air filters were all replaced during a heavy service. We noticed the fuel gauge wasn't working but a new tank sender unit cured the problem. The carbs were stripped and rebuilt and while on road test the overdrive engaged and disengaged smoothly. New wipers & a new locking filler cap were fitted and the car was brought on numerous road tests with no issues found. As always viewing is encouraged.
