First registered on the 19th September 1973 this genuine UK RHD example, represents 1 of just 8,370 fuel-injected models built and comes from the first year of production for the CR prefixed models, engines rated at 125bhp with cars being identifiable by their revised dash layout, the addition of a 'rubber type' front spoiler etc. Having been owned by the same keeper for the last 6 years this particular example has only come to market after the owner fell in love with one of our other classics and we simply couldn't resist the aural delight offered by the glorious Triumph straight six!

With a body-off restoration by a previous keeper in the early-mid 90's and a repaint again in the early 2000's this Triumph TR6 looks great finished in her period correct Sapphire Blue. As an older restoration (some 20yrs + now) we'd always say there's a little room for improvement, we do have a hyper-critical eye, but most importantly the car remains very strong with great shut lines, the chassis is excellent, she has great chrome-work, lens, rubbers, wheels / tyres (matched set of Dunlop Sport Response) etc are all super and there absolutely no reason why anyone shouldn't just jump into her and start enjoying this classic straight away.

Open the door and you're meet with the original Triumph logo'd steering wheel, the original seats; seatbelts and carpets are in fabulous condition too and should you need test the folding soft-top we're happy to say this remains in excellent condition too ...... though naturally we would rather enjoy top-down motoring with the hood cover / tonneau in place, keeping the classic lines nice and clean.

Mechanically the TR6 is in fine fettle too. Well maintained and used sparingly, she shows just 48k miles and has only driven circa 10k miles in the last 20 years. Starting the engine and the senses are heightened, the 2.5 litre engine bursts into life with its distinctive straight six rumble and on selecting gear and going up through the gearbox, finally enjoying the smooth O/D the car pulls with a wave of torque that offers a wonderful driving and aural experience. She offers light positive steering on the move, brakes well, corners nicely and feels tight, the excellent drive being support with a raft of invoices confirming cherished on-going maintenance and ahead of any sale the car will pass to our trusted engineer for a bumper-bumper 'health check' attending to any pre-MOT works, she'll be serviced and naturally come with a new 12 month MOT too!

With the best, show, examples now commanding £35k+ finding a genuine, strong, useable UK RHD Triumph TR6 PI isn't as straight forward as one might think. With a good history file, we have invoices for circa £9500, Tax discs & MOT's back to the early 2000's, our experience tells us she's well cared for example and ready to be enjoyed further. She offers any classic enthusiast a great way into classic TR ownership, the 6's offering a charm that some of the more common place open-top classic simply can't match.
