This 1972 Volkswagen Type 1 11-window microbus was converted to a
custom 19-window during its 2-year restoration. It is powered by a
new upgraded 1,835cc 4-cylinder with dual 40mm Solex carburetors
with a 4x2 exhaust mated to a 4-speed Freeway Flyer manual
transmission. The front suspension was completely rebuilt, and a
height adjustment system was added. The rear suspension has been
completely rebuilt to the original standard but is 2 inches lower.
The steering roller box is brand-new and manufactured with a
precise roller system. It has been completely redone with new parts
for the front and rear drum brake system. This microbus rides on
Classic 15x5.5 steel wheels with new radial tires, red chrome rings
and chrome dome hubcaps. The entire electrical system, the Angel
Eyes headlights and an LED-lit speedometer are new or restored to
like-new condition. The exterior features two-tone Vanilla and Gray
Metallic paint, a pop-out safari-style split window, a sliding
ragtop sunroof, a luggage rack with a ladder, eight skylights, two
side chrome pop-out windows and a rear safari pop-out window, as
well as a new set of green glass, new stainless-steel mirrors, and
new front and rear chrome bumpers. The new custom interior features
a 5-passenger L-shaped sofa, a retractable bed in Red Cherry vegan
leather and a touchscreen multimedia center, with Bluetooth and
four speakers, as well as a built-in smart TV that can be connected
to WiFi or cellular connection and a laminated wood floor. The
speedometer has been restored to its original style and an LED
light was added. There are retractable front seat belts, plus five
in the back seats. ** PREVIEW
