Merit Partners is pleased to present this exemplary 1972 911S in Light Yellow over black interior. This a true collector car being the more powerful
S
model and from 1972 which was the only year Porsche put the oil fill door on the side of the car. We have a long relationship with this car going back over 7 yrs. and having sold the car to one of our best clients who just traded it back to us. We acquired the car originally from the second owner who had the car close to 40 yrs before he passed away. It originally sold new here in Atlanta from a Porsche dealer that has long since gone. The second owner of the car took a true enthusiast approach to the upkeep of the car and won numerous Concours events with it of which we have all the trophies and plaques to prove it. This car is the nicest and most original 72 we have ever received and is a matching numbers car with accompanying COA and original manuals. All stampings of engine, transmission and chassis are all consistent and are absolutely factory stampings with no tampering. The car was partially resprayed to its original Light Yellow paint at some point in its life but all the jams on the doors, engine bays and front of the car are all original paint so only the panels were touched. There is absolutely no sign of any accident on the car or the repaint being due to any damage but likely just to freshen up the car and so we would call it lightly restored in that way. No signs of rust exposure or rust damage is on the car. Other than the repaint, the car is basically all original and in remarkably well preserved condition. The seats were re-stuffed by our most recent client just due to sagging but the original seat covers were maintained and in amazing condition. Carpets on the interior of the car are all original and the carpets in the front boot area are factory as well even having the original piece of wood that came with them to hold the carpets down. From a service and driving standpoint, this car truly stands out. There is consistent and reliable documentation throughout most of the cars life and there were no corners cut on servicing and maintaining the car. The last owner put extensive expense into the car as well in bringing some additional service and other parts up to date and replacing or reconditioning them from a cosmetic standpoint to further elevate the car. All of these services are well documented in the service binder giving any new buyer great confidence in the history of the car as well as current condition knowing that the car is complete and needs really nothing a this point. As a driver car, this example is outstanding and a joy to experience with every piece operating as it should and giving the driver an experience like this car drove in the 70s with no drop-off due to age, no doubt a product of the how the car has been maintained and kept current on parts. Cars like this come up very rarely and this is a complete car with no expense spared. The cars comes with all manuals, keys, service binder and Concours awards along with some great pictures of the car at events. For any further questions, please email or call us and we would be happy to arrange any PPIs a potential buyer may want.
