For sale is my 1972 Honda CB500 Four K1.
The bike was imported from the US in 2019. I am the second UK registered owner.
The CB500 is a rare US only model. Several CB500 machines were entered in the Production TT races on the Isle of Man in the early 1970s. Bill Smith won the 1973 500 cc TT Production race riding one. They are very fun and reliable bikes.
This bike was imported by its previous owner who restored it in the form of a (comfortable) cafe racer. Alternative handlebars are included in the sale for more of a racing position (seen fitted in the video).
Since owning the bike, I have had it throughly serviced and the carburettors deep cleaned and totally rebuilt. It runs lovely. The only thing that needs doing is to replace the rear light filament as I believe it’s blown - the rear brake light works just fine.
I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this bike, it gets lots of looks wherever it goes because it’s beautiful and sounds absolutely incredible. The reason for sale is genuine - I want to move onto something bigger as I need to start commuting long distances for work.
All paperwork has been kept since its import. In addition, a Haynes Manuel, an owners handbook (dated 1972), and two sets of keys are included.
Happy to accommodate viewings or answer any questions!
