Intro
This is an all original two owner 1972 BMW 2002tii in Riviera Blue with Black vinyl interior and a 4-speed manual transmission. It has approximately 74,000 miles and was originally registered in Honeoye Falls, NY. It was rustproofed with Ziebart, has a history of no accidents and is a numbers matching car that has not been restored. The tires, fuel tank, fuel lines, brakes, and brake lines were replaced in 2018. This car comes with all service records, a clear title and is in Florida.
Exterior
The exterior color is the original Riviera Blue factory color. It was rustproofed by Ziebart plugging the drain holes causing the front fenders to rust due to collected water. It has solid shock towers and underbody. It has the 13″ steel wheels with BMW-branded covers wrapped in 185/70 General tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums. The car was equipped from the factory with front and rear anti-roll bars.
Interior
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Black Skai vinyl. A Becker AM/FM radio is housed in the center console with rubber floor mats. There is a crack in the dash. This 2002tii does not have air conditioning.
Mechanicals
The 2.0-liter M10 inline-four features Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 130 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. The original Kugelfischer fuel injection is working great, and the car runs strong. The seller has service records.
Summary
This is a numbers matching 2002tii with the desirable round taillights and manual transmission. It is all original with no accidents, low mileage and full-service history. It is a great candidate for a full restoration or weekend driver.
