Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this 1970 Volkswagen Beetle

for sale. The 1970 Volkswagen Beetle, often fondly referred to as

the "Bug," is an iconic and beloved compact car that has left an

indelible mark on automotive history. With its distinctive rounded

shape, economical nature, and enduring popularity, the Beetle holds

a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts and casual drivers

alike. This is a recent rebuild with all work performed by LVW

Volkswagen in Fayetteville, NC. The vehicle has a brand-new engine

made by Scat with less than 500 miles on it. The car features

electronic ignition, dual carburetors, and a five-quart oil

capacity. The new motor directs its power through a new four-speed

manual transmission, and shoots exhaust out a new stainless steel

exhaust system. The vehicle is equipped with new disc brakes, new

heater boxes, and four new tires. The front spindles have been

replaced and the front end lowered. The interior features custom

front seats with red stitching, a new radio with USB port, two new

speakers, and a new tachometer. The interior floorboard covering

was removed, and completely replaced with sound proofing material

as well as new carpeting. The forward trunk area also features new

carpet. The back seat was recovered with new original-looking

vinyl. The vehicle is painted Doghouse Red and any exterior chrome

that could be replaced was including bumpers, wheel covers, and the

trunk vent lids. The vehicle does feature a sunroof that the

current owner has not opened. The rubber gasket shows some wear and

did not want to take the chance of tearing it. A few other minor

flaws are that the gas gauge needle is not always accurate because

the float sticks, the horn needs to be wired, and the fan buttons

on the dash do not work. The front windows work but are a little

stiff to operate. The vehicle shows no signs or evidence of rust

and contains the original sheet metal. The Doghouse Red paint job

still shows very well after ten years. The seller has a clear title

for this vehicle and is looking to make a sale. This Beetle starts,

runs, and drives as it should. The simple yet ergonomic dashboard,

uncluttered controls, and modest creature comforts reflect the

no-nonsense approach that has endeared the Beetle to generations of

owners. The Beetle's engineering emphasizes simplicity and

durability, with a robust chassis, independent suspension, and

tight turning circle contributing to its nimble and easy-to-drive

nature. Its light and direct steering, coupled with a comfortable

ride quality, make the Beetle an ideal companion for city commuting

and leisurely drives. With so much of that has been updated or

replaced, this is very much like a new car, with a long life ahead

of it! Please call Tom F. for more information (269)-.
