With us at RFH Classics we have this 1966 MGB 1.8 Roadster finished in Old English White with the Black Leather trim. What a great looking car this MGB is presented in a very traditional colour with the wonderful chrome wire wheels that help to distinguish this iconic British roadster. The car, which has been the subject of an older restoration presents well with a lovely deep shine and excellent chrome work all round with minimal marks or pitting. The bodywork is in good order with panel gaps being good all round, the previous owners have looked after this well and it is nice to see the car is wearing four matching Pirelli tyres all with great tread.

Open the driver door and you will find a Black Leather trimmed cockpit with the original style seats are in lovely condition and show very little age-related patina. The interior trim kit and carpets, which were the subject of a refurbishment in 2020 present very well in Black to match the seats. For safety of the passengers, the car benefits from inertia seat belts being fitted. A nice feature to see is that the factory correct Banjo style steering wheel has been retained although this can be replaced with a later Wooden wheel if required. For protection from the elements this car is fitted with a Mohair roof that is in excellent condition and features a zip down rear window for ventilation along with a half tonneau cover the protect the hood when it is folded down.

Under the bonnet the 1798cc petrol engine that is running lead free fuel is paired to a 4 speed manual gearbox that benefits from a fully working Overdrive for 3rd & 4th gear. The engine has very good oil pressure both when cold and hot and the whole compartment presents very well with a few nice upgrades such as the Aluminium Rocker Cover, Oil Cooler and Kenlow style cooling fan. Under the boot lid, fitted with a Chrome Boot Rack, the boot area is carpeted in with matching Black carpets and contains the fifth wire wheel along with relevant tool kit. In the office we have a good history file to accompany the car that contains a both a large number of invoices and old MOT tests showing details of regular maintenance being undertaken to the car and it benefits from currently being tested until 2024.
