Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this classy 1965
Pontiac Grand Prix! 1965 was a banner year for Pontiac styling.
Many consider the 1965 full-size Pontiacs to be the peak of the
'Wide-Track' Pontiac styling and marketing trend. The cars were
wider, lower, and longer with maximum emphasis on the 'Venturi'
coke bottle lines along the flanks and the stacked headlight, split
grill signature that Pontiac pioneered years earlier. This 1965
Grand Prix looks exceptionally well. The formal roofline is unique
to the model and offers a nice contrast to the flashy body styling.
The car was blessed with a restoration in 2010 and resprayed in the
original Cameo Ivory roof over Nightwatch Blue body, with a lovely
Morrokide interior finished in a Plum. The car is rust free with no
indication of accidents or body rot. The chrome is in good
condition with only minor blemishes. The bucket seated interior is
free of rips and tears, and all the gauges are in working order
including the signature Pontiac Vacuum gauge on the center console.
Under the hood is a healthy 4bbl carbureted, 389ci V8 spinning a
3speed automatic. The car is unique with no power steering or
brakes. That said it runs and drives sublime. With firm reassuring
stopping and well weighted - surprisingly easy - steering. The
finishing touch is a set of wire PMD hubcapped wheels wrapped in
thin white walls, just like back in the day! The car comes with a
copy of the original window sticker, owner's manual and
Protecto-O-Plate. This big poncho is a classic of the 'jet age',
with swagger for days and lots of presence. Big coupes like this
really turn heads, and this 65 Grand Prix will make you the center
of attention! This 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix is listed by our Tampa
