This delightful early pure MGB benefits from being one of the early cars to gain the 5 bearing engine and was in fact ordered new with the then newly released 5 bearing high compression engine, Engine Oil Cooler, Wire Wheels and Overdrive, the MG has had 4 previous owners from new and is a matching numbers car with supporting paperwork confirming its 73, 900 miles from new. The MG comes with its original bill of sale from E Sycamore & Son Main Dealer in Huntingdonshire, original factory delivery card, BMC Passport to service booklet, other original documentation, two sets of keys and original Green Buff log book showing Mr Burrows of Peterborough being its first owner. During its 57 years its been changed from white to Tartan Red, albeit its floors and sills appear to be original and very sound, the Wire wheels would of originally been painted silver painted, but are now chrome plated, the MG drives very well with and has recently been fully serviced and MOTd without any advisories, 5 New tyres fitted due to age, Stainless Steel Exhaust, albeit an mot is not actually required. When the MG was made it would of had twin 6 Volt batteries to make 12 Volts, in more recent years it was converted to single 12 Volt which actually did not suite the High Compression engine on cold start, so we have converted to twin 12 Volt batteries which give higher amps and aid for better starting and balance. A delightful MG with two owners in the last 30 years, and well maintained, not concours but genuine and lovely from a very original sound structure to its delightful patina leather interior, original registration was DEW 880C and gained VTK 570 as a cherished number from the previous owner which is going to remain with the MG, but could go back on original registration if desired.
