Description

  1963 Buick Riviera

While the Riviera name was applied as a trim model to Buicks back

in the 40s and 50s it wasnt until 1963 that the first Riviera

model was born. It wasnt without some work though. The knife edged

design was originally being pitched to Cadillac but once they

turned it down Buick had their chance to add it to their line. It

was released to compete in the luxury market and was met with a lot

of praise. These cars had very unique body lines which with slight

customizations are really taken to the next level. This 63 Riviera

is a really nice custom that was well built. It took 2 1/2 years to

complete and was finished in 2012. Its beautiful lines are

accented by a bright Blue and Silver two tone GM paint separated by

a single Orange pinstripe. The door handles have been shaved and

the rockers customized for a frenched side exhaust which gives it a

very cool side profile. Up front a billet grill was added and the

headlights relocated to give it the hidden headlight look you see

in Rivieras a few years later. In back the original taillights were

replaced with thin LED bars for a slick look. The Boyd Coddington

wheels suit the car perfectly and are wrapped with Hancook Evo2 low

  profile tires.

Under the hood is a 425 Buick Nailhead motor and the engine

compartment is one of the cleanest parts of this classic. The

entire firewall and inner fenders have the same two tone paint job

as the exterior giving it a clean cohesive look. It has a lot of

chrome and Blue painted accents along with a custom radiator cover

so it is definitely something you will want to show off. It has a

factory 2 four set up but the rear 650 cfm carb was replaced. The

Turbo 400 automatic transmission behind it shifts well with no

problems and transfers power back to the stock rear end. It has

power brakes with disc up front and drums in rear. All of the

electrical on the car was done with a Kwik Wire system to eliminate

  any electrical concerns.

The ultra leather interior of the car is very nicely finished out

using a combination of both stock and custom components. For

instance, it utilizes its original center console but all of the

faces were modified with carbon fiber to give it a unique look. A

lot of the original dash trim was used as well but the dash itself

and the sides of the console were repainted in Bright Blue to match

the body. On the center of the dash is mounted the Vintage AC/Heat

controls and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/Aux stereo. It has the original

gauge set up but aftermarket Omega Kustom Instrument gauges were

added in the stock gauges place. They are white faced and it has an

all in one gauge for the Fuel, Volt, Temp, and Oil Pressure gauges.

The upholstery itself is done in Gray and is in good shape.

Add this cool custom to your collection for 48,500.00!
