1957 Ford Thunderbird Semi-RestoMod - This car was a 4 year build - taken down to bare metal and refurbished from the ground up. I call it a "Semi-RestoMod" because it has all of it's original engine, transmission, drive train, etc. - but everything has been upgraded to the new technology that's available today. The engine has been completely rebuilt - balanced and blueprinted with teflon coated pistons, RV Cam, high volume water pump with a new 4 core radiator, all new valve train for unleaded fuels, Holley Sniper fuel injection with the Holley in tank fuel pump, and custom exhaust with Magna Flo mufflers. The transmission is completely rebuilt - and it drives the new Eaton Truetrac limited slip rear end. The car has been converted to a 140 Amp one wire alternator.
The paint job alone is in excess of $32,000 and is the new Chrysler Jeep Cherokee Diamond Metallic Black. - I have the paint code for this color.
Additional items are - custom Blue Tooth radio with additional CD drive - 6 speaker sound system with power amp and additional subwoofer. 4 wheel disc brakes with the Billet electric master cylinder system. American racing Torque thrust chrome wheels with new Cooper radials. All new dash with updated gauges - the clock has been upgraded to the quartz movement and keeps perfect time. New 15" steering wheel that allows easier egress in and out of the car.
I also have the real Ford fender skirts that came out of genuine FoMoCo boxes that are painted to match. They don't fit with the wider wheels and tires - but if you wanted to go back to true original, they come with the car.
All of the chrome and trim is new, or has been re-chromed - including the opera windows and trim.
The car has both the hard top and new black convertible top.
