This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is a striking and restored example of the first generation of the marque flagship sports car, which is in excellent condition throughout. This Corvette comes equipped with the original numbers matching 3.9L Blue Flame straight six, producing around 150hp, coupled with the two speed Power glide automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 37,800 miles from new, the car is in excellent mechanical order. This car was treated to a comprehensive body off restoration in the US a few years ago, at the time as having just two owners from new, the second of which he reportedly owned the car for 55 years. The car is reported to retain not only its original engine, but also the matching gearbox and rear axle. It was imported to the UK two years ago.The body presents in superb condition, finished with Polo White paintwork, which looks pristine all around the car. The chrome work and exterior trims are all in great shape, as are the twin exhaust tips recessed into the curves at the rear .Moving inside, the red leather upholstery is in excellent condition, benefitting from a full re trim. The dashboard panel itself is finished in colour coded Polo White, and all of the instrument gauges are original.
