1939 Alvis 12/70 Racing Special Boat-tail Roadster by Compton's of Welshpool, presented in british racing green with black leather seats.

This very special Alvis was manufactured as a 12/70 in 1939, just before Alvis stopped car production to move on to weapons for WW2. The original 12/70 saloon was converted to a sports racing special in 1966 by Compton's of Welshpool, who as many will know was the acclaimed master of creating Alvis racing specials. The engine size is approximately 2 litres with a 4-speed and was accepted by the Vintage Sports Car Club for historic racing in 2005. Complete with new hood, tools and History File.

We are easy to find and just 5 minutes drive from the A19 and 25 minutes from the A1M. The Kings Cross/Edinburgh main-line runs through Northallerton just 15 miles away. We also offer a in-house transported delivery service to have your car brought direct to your door.

That way you can touch and feel what its like to be behind the wheel when we take it for a test drive and answer any questions you will no doubt have about classic car ownership.
