Mass production techniques had perfected the all-steel saloon body by this time which had brought prices of saloons right down - motorists soon catching onto draught-free motoring out of the elements. As a consequence, the open four-seater Austin 7 was not the most common choice and not many have survived.

Purchased by the previous owner and not used as much as they had hoped the car is now up for sale ready to be used and enjoyed in new a new home. Being a slightly later Austin, it has a number of creature comforts, including a four-speed box with some synchromesh gears, a more convenient rear petrol tank and a more commodious body.
