My story

　　10/01/22 Rio was returned to the shelter due to no fault of her own. The other dog in the home was not warming up to her. Rio was described as being kind and submissive towards the other dog in the home. So Rio is back and still looking for that perfect fit! She is still required to go to a home without children under 5 years old. She is vocal girl who loves attention! If you are interested in meeting her please give the shelter a call!09/27/22 This adorable pooch is Rio! Rio was surrendered to the shelter because her prior owners felt she could use a home with more room to run and play! Rio was said to be housebroken, kennel trained, rides well in a car, and knows a few basic commands (sit, stay, lay down, and come). Rio is still very much a puppy and has a lot of energy. She was known to get into trash, dig, chew, and can be vocal at times. Rio would benefit from going to a basic obedience class to work on her manners and improve on some of those basic commands! Rio has LOVED treats while at the shelter and wants attention 24/7! Rio was said to like people of all ages but is not always gentle when it comes to playing. We are requiring that Rio goes to a home without children under 5 years old. Rio was said to be friendly with dogs but is very jumpy! She was also said to love cats but that they don't always love her back. Please make sure you are doing appropriate introductions when it comes to Rio meeting new animals and children. Rio is a joy and is looking for a very active home that can keep her mentally and physically stimulated!
