Yukon Cornelius's story

　　Yukon Cornelius is the leader of the Christmas Misfits. When they were brought into the shelter terrified, Yukon was standing in front of his siblings, protecting them from the unknown danger. That is how he got his name, from the brave and crazy explorer in the classic Rudolf movie. New situations make him nervous at first, but it doesn't take him long to warm up..especially if he is being held and loved on or a feather teaser is dangling in front of him. Yukon is still a huge softy when he is comfortable; he loves to cuddle and love on his people and other kitties. As soon as this boy sees you, his purr motor turns on and starts rumbling. This guy has a surprisingly little, squeaky meow for his personality. He is such a handsome, proud, friendly, and loving guy that I could see playing the "father/protector" role for others in the future. He is friends with all other kitties, and will go right up to them to say hello. He is energetic and playful, so he needs to be adopted into a family with other cats, or one willing to adopt another to be a buddy for him.

　　Yukon Cornelius is fostered around Huntsville, Alabama and is available for preadoption. He is almost 10 weeks old currently. He will be neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped around the beginning of February. The adoption fee is $75 for a single kitten and $125 for two.
