YUKI's story

　　YUKI is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees with a sweet soul and a cute quirky personality. Obviously, she loves Huskies and most male dogs. She can show jealousy dominance towards female canines, but it is nothing to freak out about- she can be tamed by a raised voice.

　　YUKI loves cuddles, alone time in the yard (with or without another dog), is fairly low-maintenance beyond daily walks (does great!), affection and nutrition. She loves a kiddie pool in the Summer and relishes a snow storm in the Winter, as her name means SNOW in Japanese.

　　Yuki has tried condo/apartment living and wasn't a fan. She prefers a quiet neighborhood with her own yard and a human or humans that are home a lot and can spend time with her. She's not destructive, she is crate trained (but really doesn't need it), and because her breed instinct is Guard Dog, there is some barking at strange noises and passersby; but that too can easily be curbed.

　　There has to be someone out there for her! We are patient and committed to finding ALL our dogs homes, but we can't keep each one- there's a line behind her of others that need help too. 　　*What is a Great Pyrenees doing at a Siberian Husky rescue? Well, YUKI was an owner surrender from California where when the home life changed, the dog was no longer a good fit. The humans tried all sorts of rescues, but no one would help them, so we agreed to help and she was driven here last June. She has been with Thunder Puppy a year now, but no fault of her own- people just don't think to look for a GP here! HELP HER FIND HER FUREVER HOME!
