Wally's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
This handsome guy is full of love. He joined us at ACT after getting a call two dogs were roaming an abandoned building. As we pulled up to the house we were greeted by Wally, his tail was in full swing as if he already knew us. He immediatly led us to his sister who had multiple gunshot wounds and could no longer walk . We carried both dogs through the broken glass and trash. He looked after his sister until the very end. We made a promise that Wally would never have to live like that again.
Despite his past, Wally is still as sweet and playful as they come. He is thriving in our playgroup sessions, and easily adapts to different play styles. He would do well in a home with a female dog or a submissive male. He is welcoming to ALL people and is very eager to please. He knows basic commands and is learning how to walk on a leash without pulling. He loves playing in water and would make an excellent hiking buddy. UPDATE 7-17-17: Brought Wally home for the weekend. Does very well on car rides, sits calmly in back seat. He was a perfect boy inside the house, followed me around a bit then took a nap while we watched tv. Did great on our walk with 3 other small dogs. Slept quietly in his crate all night. Took him on a hike next morning then a dip in the lake. He loved the water and being outdoors.
