Tucker's story
Here's another terrible incident of folks moving away and leaving their pets behind to fend for themselves. Tucker and Sprinkles luckily were fed by kind neighbors, who were able to eventually gain trust and get them to EAPL. Many people don't realize the toll it takes on indoor cats left behind in an environment totally unfamiliar. They can quickly become extremely scared and reactive, not knowing to who trust and who will abuse them. Tucker is an example of that. While the neighbors were able to place them in carriers, Tucker was very reactive at the vet. He's now able to be pet, but still wary of hands heading his way. Once he's familiar he settles down, but will need a home that will give him time to settle back to his full potential as a great boy, now loved and not abandoned. Sprinkles, while having the same experience, has done the opposite and hides much of the time. Both were great with the neighbors so we know they will settle well into the right home, given patience. They do not have to go together. Both are at our EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down in Evergreen. If you are the patient owner they need to reclaim their lives, be sure to visit them. Every cat needs that special owner who will cherish them. Let's give these two that home and person.
