　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments. To adopt, we need to receive a completed application (link found below). Some animals may be in foster homes. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the pet or asking questions first. Mika is still a kitten at app. 7 months of age (as of 11/7/13). Mika is a calm, gentle young lady who'd do great in a calm atmosphere. She's perfectly content with sitting with a person for a little bonding time. She's a bit low-energy and low-maintenance, an independent but affectionate young girl. She'd be an excellent companion pet. We wouldn't recommend Mika in a home with dogs, but she does socialize well with other friendly cats. Stop by our cat adoption center to meet Mika! Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and spayed. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters.
